Hello to all our friends at Anysoldier.com

I have been asked to send an updated request from Moonbase Kasik.

We have been asked to gather more school supplies and basic medical supplies for villages we may operate in. If people would like to send pens, pencils, papers, erasers, bandages and Neosporin, and other basic school and medical supplies it would help us assist in putting Iraq back on its feet. We would like to get a large amount of items sent in to be ready for when school starts again here in the fall.

We still would like some things such as small mirrors( 8X 10 Inche size), fly swatters, gym equipment, shower curtains, and rods, document protectors, photo paper, thumb drives, blank CDs, and other basic office supplies, 2-3" binders, hangars, small flashlights that can take infrared lenses, cleaning supplies(Brushes, soft bristled brooms, spic and span wipes, Armor all window wipes, etc), poptarts, easy mac, darts and a regular dartboard, astronaut ice cream, avery white postcards#5389, hand cleaner, blank postcards, thumbdrives for computers, small microwave safe bowls for cooking, crackers, drink mixes, SD and multimedia memory cards, lense cleaning cloths, US flag patches, vitamins, scales so we can track our weight, collapsible coolers, Kurdish-English Dictionaries, Arabic-English Dictionaries, English Dictionary, thesarus', ascetate, cheap CD players, spices and Soy Sauce, etc

Oreo cookies and nutri grain bars are really popular but healthy snacks would be good as well.

We are still short adaptors for foreign plugs because we the ones we have do not stand up well to constant use. Power surges have blown a lot of fuses lately. We can still use coffee, tea, sugar, magazines, DVDs, aaa and aa batteries, toiletries, snacks, underarmor, metric automotive tools, and a large converter.   We can also use almost any exercise equipment that people would like to send.

We have plenty of beanie babies and religious items now. Chocolate and anything that will melt is not good to send anymore. It is already too hot to send that. Things here are a lot better here largely thanks to anysoldier. Things are very fluid here now and I will try to update the webpage when I can. I have kept some things on our request list because we have not got things for everyone here, especially as people rotate in and out.

Thank you all again for your support.

Sincerely,
Keith

Picture books or magazines that show how beautiful the US is and present a positive view of America would be nice to have as well that we can share with the Iraqis we work with

Hello I am a going on R&R for a few weeks so please do not send anything else to me until 15 April. We appreciate all that we get but my fellow soldiers may not like moving my mail around if I am not there to help.
We got a lot of nice things in the mail yesterday. You all made a lot of people's day.

Hello to all our friends at Anysoldier.com

Yesterday we finally got our first big mail shipment since before the elections. On behalf of my men and fellow soldiers I would like to thank everyone for their support. I will try to write a quick note to everyone I can but it may take me a while. I believe every soldier got something especially several who did not get any mail.
Thank you all very much for all your support and generosity.

Dear Marty and our friends at Anysoldier.com,

Thank you very much for all the prayers and other support you sent us which helped make our role in supporting the elections a success. Please be assured the Iraqi soldiers and people are true patriots and heros for having the courage to make it a great success.

We have been asked to gather school supplies and even some basic medical supplies for villages we may operate in. If people would like to send pens, pencils, papers, erasers, bandages and Neosporin, and other basic school and medical supplies it would help us assist in putting Iraq back on its feet. The kids like small stuffed animals and hard candy as well.

My fellow soldiers have also asked for basic office supplies such as document protectors, photo paper, thumb drives, blank CDs, possibly a small printer and other basic office supplies. Also a few of them have specifically asked for Sunday School Books and catholic Missalettes( Guide for Daily Mass)

Soldiers have also asked for small boxes of healthy cereal like cheerios, grape nuts, etc.

We are still short adaptors for foreign plugs because we the ones we have do not stand up well to constant use.

We can still use coffee, tea, creamer, magazines, CDs, DVDs, aaa and aa batteries, toiletries, snacks, underarmor, metric automotive tools, and a large converter.

We all thank you. I wish I could write to everyone that sends us gifts personally. I have tried really hard to do so but I have been to busy to respond to everyone. I have passed out letters to my fellow soldiers, and I hope that everyone that sent us something has heard from one of us.

Thank you all again.

Sincerely,
Keith Donahoe

Marty and our friends at any soldier,
Please update our requests to add exercise or sports equipment equipment. We have a very basic gym with plenty of weights, an exercise bike and an elliptical machine but nothing else.
We have no basketball, soccer or baseball equipment but it would be nice to have.

We also have need of something to help us get organized such as hooks we can stick on the wall and plastic shelving. Adapters for foreign electrical plugs would also help us out. We are working on trying to talk to people at home via the internet so headsets with a microphone that would enable us to do that would be great.

We sleep on beds most of the time but we need sheets for the mattresses.

We still need coffee, tea, creamer, magazines, CDs, DVDs, aaa and aa batteries, toiletries, snacks, underarmor, sweatshirts most are metric automotive tools for the vehicles we use, baby wipes from home. A converter and a microwave would be great to have if we could get one. We have things now but we wear them out or use them quickly here. Letters from home are also appreciated.

Thank you for your time and support of us.
Any soldier makes us feel like kids at Christmas requesting all of these things. Please be assured we do not expect anything or take it for granted.

Merry Christmas
Sincerely,
Keith Donahoe

Dear Anysoldier.com Supporters,
We are in an isolated post in Northern Iraq. There are few western comforts here. We do not have western plumbing, a microwave or a reliable water supply although we do have electricity but it is 220. We are here to train Iraqi soldiers and teach them about democracy in the process. We use their equipment and vehicles.

We found out about the any soldier soldier program from a fellow soldier CPT Donald Peterson who shared some stuff he received with us. There was not enough for everyone though. We have been traveling for Over a month so it was the first mail we had received in that time.

We have plenty of water to drink but taking a shower is difficult, so we use lots of baby wipes

The things that would help us, coffee, creamer, magazines, CDs, DVDs, aaa and aa batteries, toiletries, snacks, underarmor, sweatshirts most are metric automotive tools for the vehicles we use, baby wipes from home. A converter and a microwave would be great to have if we could get one. We have things now but we wear them out or use them quickly here. Letters from home are also appreciated.
Thank you for your time and support of us.
Sincerely,
Keith Donahoe

IMPORTANT! DO NOT PRINT THIS PAGE!!!

Why? Because this list changes all the time due to unit movements, soldier transfers, or even soldier casualties.
It is also illegal. ALL content on this site is copyright Any Soldier Inc.
DO NOT send any letter or package to a soldier's address unless you check this web site the same day you mail your packages.
Please do not burden the soldiers or the APO/FPO by sending things when the soldiers are gone. If a soldier is not listed here anymore then that soldier's address is expired. Check here often!

Note that some of the units do not have ranks shown on their addresses.
This is done at the unit's request, but ALL of our contacts ARE Servicemembers.

Be sure to change the "ATTN" line to "ATTN: Any Female Soldier if your package is for a female!

DO NOT use this program if you expect or require a reply!
DO NOT expect, or require, a reply from a Soldier!
A supporter said it perfectly, "I mean, these guys and gals have other things on their minds, y’know? Like...oh, STAYING ALIVE?"

(NOTE *): Effective 1 May 2006 this web site added a major layer of security to our contacts' information. This change is necessary to protect our troops and ensure that Any Soldier will continue to operate.
The ONLY changes are that the addresses of our contacts are now hidden and the number of addresses you can get are limited. You may obtain addresses simply by clicking on the link provided and correctly filling out the form, the address will then be emailed to you immediately.

(NOTE **): The number shown is how many times a form was submitted requesting this address. This does NOT necessarily mean that this contact will be helped by that many folks. Rule of thumb is that anything 5 requests or less may in fact be no support at all. No way to tell exactly unless the contact lets you know in his/her update how much support they are getting.

(Note 1.): Note that postage to APO AE and FPO AE (E = Europe) is only to NY where the connection to the APO/FPO (APO = Army Post Office)(FPO = Fleet Post Office) is, or to San Francisco for APO AP and FPO AP (P = Pacific), so you don't pay postage all the way to Iraq/Afghanistan. You might consider picking contacts closer to your mailing area to help cut the cost of mailing. If you live on the East Coast, pick "AE", West Coast, pick "AP", Midwest, well...uh, Thank You for your Support! ;)

New with us (December 2005) you might notice "APO AA" and "FPO AA". This is for units in the Caribbean/South America. Normally. However, due to the nature of some units they may be in Iraq but have an address showing "FPO AA". Mail addresses to "AA" goes out of Miami, Florida.

(Note 2.): Why are military addresses weird? There isn't a street address or city. What gives? Correct, just about everything about the military is weird to civilians. Military units are very mobile, they move around a lot, often they even become part of another unit. The APO (Army Post Office) and FPO (Fleet Post Office) assign APO and FPO numbers as needed, they are NOT static. An APO/FPO number may be for a large unit, or a location. An APO/FPO number for Baghdad today may be for Frankfurt tomorrow.

(Note 3.): The "Expect to not mail past" date is only an approximate and is one of the least reliable things on this web site. It is because of this that you must check often before you send anything to this unit. There are a few reasons this date is not reliable, to include: it IS the Military, we ARE dealing with the APO/FPO/DPO. The only thing that does not change in the military is that things will change. PLEASE NOTE that a Contact is dropped off our active list 30 days PRIOR to their date leaving to help avoid mail bouncing.

(Note 4.): (Removed for OPSEC reasons)

(Note 5.): The lines, "Contact with approx number of Soldiers:" and "Approx how may Female Soldiers:" have NOTHING to do with unit strength. They are approximately how many other Troops the Contacts believe they can get packages to. This helps you understand that you should not send 100 packages to someone who only deals with 10 Troops.
Don't forget that if your package is for a female Soldier, be sure to change "ATTN: Any Soldier®" to "ATTN: Any Female Soldier".

( Note 6.): This is simply where the unit this contact is from. This is NOT a true picture of the folks in the unit as most all units are made up of folks from all over the United States.) A "Composite Unit" is one made up of other units and is usually temporary for a particular mission.

( Note 7.): Updated APO/FPO/DPO mailing restrictions> courtesy of Oconus.com (gone now) (Note: About Restriction "U2": "U2 - Limited to First Class Letters", Box "R" is for retired personnel that live overseas and are still authorized an APO/FPO box. Their address will be something like Box 3345R. Doubt you will see anything like that in Afghanistan or Iraq or ...)(Please Note: Sometime in August 2013, Oconus.com changed the code on their page and our form doesn't work with them anymore, so a link to their page is the best we can do, sorry.)
