Hello my name is Corporal Adam Joseph Buyes I am deployed with 3rd Recon Bn out of okinawa Japan. We are currently in the upper Sagin Valley in Afghanistan, the area we are in is a rough and rugged land we are on a Patrol base where we have little to no access to nice things such as a shower or even a nice place to sleep. we work hard day and night trying to make our living conditions better but it will be a long and hard process. The marines we have out here work on guard duty for hours and once the shift is over either go build up the base or mission prep for the days to come. due to the lack of sleep we ask if u can send chewing tobacco or any energy drinks to help keep us awake. Also because we have no showers we go through a lot of baby wipes and it is a must to stay clean out here. Anything goes a long way with the men out here and in any off time we get we like to hear what is going on in the world back home so any magazines, books, papers you can send would be amazing. As you know staying hydrated is a important part of our job so gatoraide mix or propell mix will help give us hydration to carry on our missions. those are some of the main things we need out here but anything helps if there is anything you want to send to help you can do so. we will gladly share what is given to others and try to make our deployment a little bit better and share some love from proud American citizens to the troops fighting here. thank you and god bless.
