Thank you for the notification, I have been extremely busy and sometimes lose sight of things. I have been eMailing people as they send us care packages and trying to keep in touch with those supporting us. It has really been a blessing, due to the fact that we rarely have the chance to visit any type of PX facility. I guess I could just tell you some of the things the guys could use. 1) desk size fans (we ahve no ac, and it's starting to heat up) 2) reading lamp (some guys in the their free time like to read....alot) 3) the normal snacks and goodies (no chocolate,... it justs melts) 4) fruit snacks, fruit cups, apple sauce
We use almost everything that is sent. As far as food goes, none of it goes to waste. We take the food when we go on 3-5 missions into the mountains along the border. It sure beats eating MRE's.

Once again Thank You for everything, it really means alot to all of the guys. When boxes come in, it's like Christmas time.

We (my platoon) eats everything that comes in the mail. We are in a remote part of Afghanistan where food usually comes out of a brown bag(MRE). We wash our clothes in small bowls or buckets, some pans to cook with would be nice to have. Microwave popcorn is a big favorite, we usuallly pop it in an old coffee can. We are a platoon of guys (Combat Engineers). We are paratroopers from Alaska, alot of us served in the 82d Airborne Division a few years ago, and we all ended up in Alaska somehow. Many of us this is our 3rd or 4th deployment, we are all excited aboutr our jobs here, but we also really look forward to getting back home to our families. Anything you can send will be greatly appreciated, Thanks in Advance!
